WHAT IS THE HOLY QUR’AN? The Qur’an is the Holy book of the Muslims. It was revealed to the Holy Prophet by Almighty ALLAH. It is the only revealed scripture that is still in its’ original form. Other books have had words, phrases and even whole chapters added or deleted. The Qur’an has not.
WHAT DO WE THINK OF JESUS? Jesus is placed on a very high pedestal in Islam. He was a righteous Messenger of ALLAH. His virgin birth is detailed in the Qur’an. His mother , Mary is the only woman mentioned by name in the Qur’an. The Qur’an says that Mary was chosen by God to bear Jesus even before she was born. However, Muslims don’t believe Jesus was God or the son of God. We believe him to be a righteous servant and messenger of God.
WHAT DO WE THINK OF RACISM? In Islam, no human being is inherently inferior or inherently superior to another. Before you are a black or a white, or Asian, or Spaniard, or any other race or color, you are first a human being. We do not highlight our skin color as a determining factor of our goodness. Regarding the races of human beings, ALLAH says, “I have made you different… so that you may know one another...Surely the best of you, in the sight of ALLAH, is the most righteous of you…...Holy Qur’an 49:13
HOW DOES A PERSON BECOME MUSLIM? A person become Muslim by saying publicly the Shahadatain which is “I bear witness that there is no God but ALLAH and I bear witness that Muhammad is his servant and messenger”.
